I guess I'm Gorgeous!

This morning I felt young again...I was walking into Safeway in Napa (A normal nice Safeway) and there was a teenager (17-18 yr old cute boy) riding his skateboard and while you rode by me He loudly said, "You're Gorgeous!" I didn't know what to do..I just kept walking. I smiled afterwards! It brightened up my day.....

Don't get me wrong...Eric tells me all the time I am gorgeous/beautiful..I just have never heard it from a stranger. It was flattering!

(And I didn't have makeup on...what would he have said if he saw me with makeup. I am the first to admit that I look better with makeup...I just hate the feeling of it on my face!)

Our little soccer player!

After a slow start to the season, Easton is now a much improved soccer player. His first 3-4 games he just didn't get what to do. He started to play defense but never really got to the ball. Well that all changed last week. Eric practiced with him and told him to "push his way to the ball." Normally that won't be a good thing but with 12 kids playing on the field..you kindof have to push your way through or you will never touch the ball. Saturday Easton really got out there and played most of the game. He made 3 GOALS! He made is first one of the season and was so excited! We were so proud of him. He did great!
He got ice cream after the game...he loved it!
Now that he knows how to play...he only has two games left. Grandma and Grandpa will be here to cheer him on. He will love that! Good Job, Easton!!!!

Fright Fest at Six Flags

Last weekend we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for Fright Fest! The theme park was decorated for Halloween with special Halloween shows. The kids loved trick or treating and seeing the scary decorations. The kids really wanted to go into the Haunted Houses but it costs extra and they were too little...too scary they said! It was a lot of fun. The kids love six flags. We already are planning on season passing next year again! Making memories that will last forever in the eyes of kids!

Gotta love the blood fountain!

Trick or Treating with Bugs Bunny!

Looney Tunes Talent Show

At the Tiger Show

The kids were sooooo excited to see these pink flamingos.

Tried to talk Eric into doing this for Halloween!

It was a fun day!!!!

Rascal Flatts Concert!

One thing I love...Concerts!!!!

I had a way fun girls night with some friends last weekend. We went to the Rascal Flatts with Darius Rucker opening the show. Darius was great. He played a few country versions from Hootie and the blow fish. We enjoyed his music!

Then Rascal Flatts came out. They had amazing screens, fireworks, graphics, etc...they put on a great stage show. (All except for one racy video..I was a little shocked they played it) We had a great time dancing to their fast songs. It was a cold windy night but we still had a great time dancing and singing. The more we moved..the warmer we were! It was a wonderful evening!
(A very special thanks to Mike for the tickets!!!!)

Kathy (Her husband Jake was their too), Me, Kara, Michelle and Meghann.

Opening the show!

Great graphics!
Loved the fireworks!

My New Idea...Our Dinner Plan!

This morning... I decided to create a dinner plan for my family. I don't cook on a regular basis...mainly because I never know what to make and I think about dinner too late. I work at night...so I use that as one of my excuses. Eric is great about whipping up Chicken with salad, pasta with sauce, Mac and Cheese, etc...I know he would appreciate dinner done at least a couple nights a week!

So I spent hours finding new recipes that my family would like. Most of them came from http://www.mykichencafe.blogspot.com/ , http://www.dinnersonme.blogspot.com/ , http://www.lovehugsandgiggles.com/ and http://yummygoodnessrecipes.blogspot.ccom/ (which is a family recipe blog that I add too)

I created a calendar for October and November with all the meals and days. I then made a 3-ring binder and put all the recipes in order and in plastic sleeves to keep them clean while cooking. Now all I have to do is go through my recipes and make shopping lists on a weekly basis.

I hope my idea works!!!! We shall see. I just hope we don't gain weight from cooking more often...I tend to eat more because the food tastes better!
