Happy Valentines Day!!! I am having a fabulous weekend. Last night Eric and I went out for our Valentines date and saw the movie..."He's just not into you." (which was dumb, stupid, and a waste of money.) But at least we were together..right?
Then on the way home Eric told me he got me something for Valentines. (which I felt horrible because I didn't get him anything..because we agreed that we weren't doing gifts this year.) When we got home there was a car in the drive way. He asked if Tania, our babysitter, had someone over. I thought maybe Eric bought me a new car (yeah right.) So I went into the house and immediately reconsidered my Dads and Moms voices. So I went into the family room and there they were.
MY PARENTS came to spend the weekend with us. It was so fun and unexpected. I was so surprised. I had NO idea. I had just tried to leave my mom a message on her cell phone telling her not to see the movie we had gone to.
So today we went bowling (since that is the only thing to do in our area (still 1/2 hr away)without driving 1 hour or longer down the dreaded curvy road..and its raining so doing anything outside was out of the question.)
What a nice relaxing & fun valentines weekend! Pictures so come...
I hope your Valentines was just as nice as mine!

My LOVE list!
I was tagged by my friend, Jenn. I am suppose to list 6 things about myself. I decided to change it alitle bit...to 6 things I LOVE!!!!
1. I LOVE it when my kids give me HUGS!
2. I LOVE laying in a warm bed in the morning. (It is hard to get me out of a warm bed. I hate being cold.) I love it when Easton gets into bed with me after Eric leaves for work. He likes to snuggle.
3. I LOVE watching "my" tv shows...Greys Antomy, Private Practice, 24, Prison Break, Dancing with the stars, American Idol, The Bachelor, True Beauty, Live with Regis and Kelly (I just like Kelly), Ellen (She makes me laugh...unless it is about Prop 8), etc...I must confess I watch too much TV at night. But it is my time to relax and enjoy myself. Eric and the kids are in bed and it is my time. Eric does watch a few of the shows with me...Greys, Private Practice, and true beauty. Thanks Eric...for watching them with me. I know he only does it for ME!
4. I LOVE chick flicks! I love seeing romantic, funny movies. Some of my all-time favorites are: Sweet Home Alabama, 27 dresses, The Holiday, 10 things I hate about you, etc..
A few I want to see right now: He's just not into you & Confessions of a Shopaholic.
Eric is such a great sport and always takes me to the girly movies! Thanks babe!
5. I LOVE emails, blogs, OK the Internet in general. I probably (I DO) check my email too much. I love communication with others...especially with my friends and family. Since they are so far away from me!
6. I LOVE TO DANCE! I would love to take swing lessons. Eric and I took Salsa lessons about a year or so ago and I enjoyed it. It was fun. If I could only get my husband to like it more....I will work on that!
Those are just a few of the things I love!!!

Brooklyn's School Projects
The week is a fun one for Brooklyn at school. Today is the 100th day of School. So we had to make a project with 100 items on it. So we did a sticker poster. (Thanks Grandma Jo for the stickers.) Brooklyn had a lot of fun placing all the hearts on the poster.
.................
We also have been working on her class Valentines. I wanted to do something different and cute. My friend Michelle showed me these cute "sour cream containers." So Brooklyn and I have been working on these for her class. We put candy braclets in the ones for the girls and then airheads for the boys. I think they are cute!
Here are a few of the done valentines.
my Young Women!
Ward Dinner/Dance
Last Saturday, the Young Women were in charge of a Ward Activity. So we decided to do a Family Fun Night...A dinner and A dance! The girls said they were sick of Ham, Chicken or Turkey for dinner (since that is what every ward activity has)..so we did Lasanga. It was delicious! We put butcher paper on the tables and had crayons for coloring. It was fun and easy cleanup.
Then the fun part started...THE DANCE! One of the YW came over and helped pick out the music. It was hard to choose...we had to try to please all age ranges. We did our best.
A little background...when I was in High School I was reserved. I didn't feel comfortable to dance crazy and just have fun. I guess I was too worried about what others thought. Which was so dumb! So on Saturday..I just made the decision that I was going to have fun and dance the night away. Eric doesn't like to dance...so I kindly asked him to have fun with me and dance with me. I told him it would mean a lot to ME! And it did! The dance was going to last just one hour...AND then dessert. (I knew if we served dessert first everyone would leave and not dance..and it worked...everyone stayed. Proabbly not by choice.) The dance only ended up being about 45 minutes because all the NON dancers got bored...so we ended it early. But we still had a great time. The kids were hillarious! They loved doing the chicken dance, limbo, YMCA, and the "Hitch" Line.
And I discovered something...I LOVE TO DANCE!!!! And it is great exercise...my calfs are still sore and it has been 3 days. It was worth it!
Eric and I dancing to "So Close" from Enchanted.
(Not the best picture of us..oh well I at least have proof that he danced with me!)
At the end of "Hitch" they dance down a line two people at a time.)
It was one of the best dances!

Our Hiking Adventure!
Last Saturday...Our friends, Mike & Jetta invited us to go hiking. We have always wanted to hike up Mt St. Helena (Robert Louis Stevenson Park). We drive by it a couple times a month and always say that it is something we wanted to do. Well after 2 1/2 years we finally did one of the hikes...and from what we thought...an easy going hike.
Brooklyn had a cold so she stayed home and played at a friends house. (we are so glad..she would have never made it) Easton came with us. He is our trooper! Eric said he would carry him if he had too...but he did AMAZING! The hike was only 2 miles in and 2 miles back. But it was up hill, down hill, up hill, down hill, etc... It felt a lot longer than 2 miles. It was a nice hike. The trail paths was little confusing but we make it to "Table Rock." We had a "picnic" according to Easton. He liked to throw rocks off the cliff...which made me nervous. I didn't like him standing that close to the edge. On the way there...Easton got tired throughout the way...but we just took little breaks and he was off and running ahead again.
The way back was a lot harder than the way there. It was more up hill. Easton did really well because Eric made it a game for him to hide from Mom. So he would run ahead and hide in the bushes and yell "Roarrrrrrrr." The weather was only in the 60's but it was plenty hot enough for hiking. Jetta is only 6 weeks from her Due date and she did so well hiking. We thought it was an easier hike than it was...but she likes to hike and she did amazing. The way back was the hardest for her...just the uphills! Well for all of us. We were all out of breath.
We had a great time! Our new friends (thanks to Mike and Jetta) were there too....Zach and Carly. They are supper nice and fun to hang out with too. After the hike we went and had delicious pizza. (of course Hawaiian). It was a lot of fun...and to my amazement...I wasn't sore at all. My new treadclimber machine is doing it's job for sure!
Oh one more note: Everyone hiking past us where amazed that we had a little boy and a pregnant women doing the hike. If they could do it than anyone should be able to!
We were so proud of Easton..he did awesome! Easton kept saying the view was "magical." It was funny. He kept saying the funniest things.
It was a fun adventure!
