I guess I'm Gorgeous!

This morning I felt young again...I was walking into Safeway in Napa (A normal nice Safeway) and there was a teenager (17-18 yr old cute boy) riding his skateboard and while you rode by me He loudly said, "You're Gorgeous!" I didn't know what to do..I just kept walking. I smiled afterwards! It brightened up my day.....

Don't get me wrong...Eric tells me all the time I am gorgeous/beautiful..I just have never heard it from a stranger. It was flattering!

(And I didn't have makeup on...what would he have said if he saw me with makeup. I am the first to admit that I look better with makeup...I just hate the feeling of it on my face!)

Our little soccer player!

After a slow start to the season, Easton is now a much improved soccer player. His first 3-4 games he just didn't get what to do. He started to play defense but never really got to the ball. Well that all changed last week. Eric practiced with him and told him to "push his way to the ball." Normally that won't be a good thing but with 12 kids playing on the field..you kindof have to push your way through or you will never touch the ball. Saturday Easton really got out there and played most of the game. He made 3 GOALS! He made is first one of the season and was so excited! We were so proud of him. He did great!
He got ice cream after the game...he loved it!
Now that he knows how to play...he only has two games left. Grandma and Grandpa will be here to cheer him on. He will love that! Good Job, Easton!!!!

Fright Fest at Six Flags

Last weekend we went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for Fright Fest! The theme park was decorated for Halloween with special Halloween shows. The kids loved trick or treating and seeing the scary decorations. The kids really wanted to go into the Haunted Houses but it costs extra and they were too little...too scary they said! It was a lot of fun. The kids love six flags. We already are planning on season passing next year again! Making memories that will last forever in the eyes of kids!

Gotta love the blood fountain!

Trick or Treating with Bugs Bunny!

Looney Tunes Talent Show

At the Tiger Show

The kids were sooooo excited to see these pink flamingos.

It was a fun day!!!!

Rascal Flatts Concert!

One thing I love...Concerts!!!!

I had a way fun girls night with some friends last weekend. We went to the Rascal Flatts with Darius Rucker opening the show. Darius was great. He played a few country versions from Hootie and the blow fish. We enjoyed his music!

Then Rascal Flatts came out. They had amazing screens, fireworks, graphics, etc...they put on a great stage show. (All except for one racy video..I was a little shocked they played it) We had a great time dancing to their fast songs. It was a cold windy night but we still had a great time dancing and singing. The more we moved..the warmer we were! It was a wonderful evening!
(A very special thanks to Mike for the tickets!!!!)

Kathy (Her husband Jake was their too), Me, Kara, Michelle and Meghann.

Opening the show!

Great graphics!
Loved the fireworks!

My New Idea...Our Dinner Plan!

This morning... I decided to create a dinner plan for my family. I don't cook on a regular basis...mainly because I never know what to make and I think about dinner too late. I work at night...so I use that as one of my excuses. Eric is great about whipping up Chicken with salad, pasta with sauce, Mac and Cheese, etc...I know he would appreciate dinner done at least a couple nights a week!

So I spent hours finding new recipes that my family would like. Most of them came from http://www.mykichencafe.blogspot.com/ , http://www.dinnersonme.blogspot.com/ , http://www.lovehugsandgiggles.com/ and http://yummygoodnessrecipes.blogspot.ccom/ (which is a family recipe blog that I add too)

I created a calendar for October and November with all the meals and days. I then made a 3-ring binder and put all the recipes in order and in plastic sleeves to keep them clean while cooking. Now all I have to do is go through my recipes and make shopping lists on a weekly basis.

I hope my idea works!!!! We shall see. I just hope we don't gain weight from cooking more often...I tend to eat more because the food tastes better!

Just my luck!

So on Thursday...I went downstairs in the garage to get my cell phone and I heard water drops coming from the floor above me (Laundry Room). So I went up stairs to check it out and to my surprise and me saying "Are you kidding me." There was water 1/2 inch thick on the floor everywhere and more water pouring out of the washer. The glass door had broken and the washer thought it needed more water to keep running so it kept filling it up and pouring it onto the floor and into the carpet. I guess it doesn't have a sensor to turn it off if the glass breaks. So I told Easton to help me mop up the water. I spent the next 2 hours sucking up water with my carpet cleaner. Eric came home early to pull up the carpet and cut out the carpet pad. Our good neighbors let us borrow their high powered fan that dried it within 5 hours. Some water damage was done downstairs in the garage and Eric had to tear out some sheetrock. Overall not too much damage but enought to make us annoyed! It could have been a lot worse if I hadn't heard those water drops.

Now the fun begins...no washer. The warranty expired 3 months ago...just my luck! But of course, My dad is who he is and they will get it fixed for me. This has never happened before that they know of. My dad was so shocked to hear it happened. He has sold the Asko Washers and Dryers for a very long time. And of course it has to happen to ME!

My sweet neighbors are letting me use their washer today for a couple loads...so nice! Hopefully we will get ours fixed sometime this week! I am crossing my fingers!

Redford Mini Reunion

Last weekend we drove to Utah (through the night) to spend the weekend with Eric's Family. His brother, Jon came home from his mission so we went to Utah to be ALL together. We had a mini reunion. We hung out at Mike's New house on Friday. Easton had soooo much fun playing football with Grandma Jo. They played for a couple of hours and he loved it. He loved being we Grandma Jo and even today he said..."I miss Grandma Jo." Jo is so fun with them. She just plays and plays. She brings them fun toys to play with too...bonus! Grandma knows how to win their hearts!!!!! Friday night we went to dinner at the Smokehouse in Orem. SOOO SOOO Good. Then we just came back and hung out. And the girls watched "17 again" which was cute!

Saturday was Cameron's Baptism and Jackson's Baby Blessing. What a special day for them. We then went the park and had lunch and the first set of Family Photos. I then went to visit my dear friends, The Williams in Spanish Fork. Eric went back to Ryans and the kids rode their pony. They live on a farm. Saturday Night we all got together for Pizza, Family photos again with Jon (Amy's Husband) in them this time, Early Christmas Present exchange, and Jon's Mission Slideshow.

Sunday we just relaxed and spent time with the family. Sunday night we went to my parents for dinner and hung out with my family.

Monday Easton had his dentist appointment to get 4 cavities filled. Poor Kid. They put him out for it so we were their for 3 hours. He slept all day while I got my nails done by my sister in law, Amanda. She is great!!!!! Eric worked that day doing interviews to hire another engineer at his work.

We then left Orem at 8:45 pm to drive home. The kids slept all night in the car and we arrived home at 7am. And Eric went straight to work to fix a few problems before he came home to take a nap. He drove the whole way...I didn't touch the wheel going or coming home.

Crazy Fast Trip! Seeing family makes the 11 hour drive in the car worth it! The kids did great in the car...because they slept 90% of the time.
