Happy 4th of July!
We enjoyed our 4th (really 3rd) to the fullest. What a fun day we had!
We started it off at the Allred's 2nd Annual July 4th Pancake Breakfast! So yummy and fun to relax and chat with friends. I think this is a great tradition.
Then we headed off to our little lake for a day of Canoeing, Swimming, Relaxing, and playing in the sand. We went with our friends, The Rasmussen's. They are so much fun...Ryan is very creative...Ryan and Eric would take out the canoes and 2 umbrellas and try to "catch the wind." Wind surfing is what I think he called it. It was so fun to watch. They were out there for a long time. Jessica and I sat on the beach and relaxed almost all afternoon in the shade. The kids had a great time swimming, eating and making sand castles. It was a great afternoon in the sun.
Then we ended the night with making yummy croissant sandwiches and watching a movie "The Box." (Which I didn't like too much). And then right after the movie we drove to see the Fireworks and go there right when they started. The kids loved watching the fireworks. I think they are pretty cool too.
After a fun day like this...we all crashed when we got home!

thanks for sharing such a fun day with us. great memories! "creative" is putting it so nicely to describe some of these grand ideas that my husband comes up with! :) never a dull moment around here, let me tell ya!
