I would write more...but it has taken me forever to write that much. I have a sleepy and sick little boy in my arms. (Easton woke up sick, hungry, & throwing up) So I am typing with one hand and it just takes forever!

Our new home...

We are all moved in...at least our belongings are here (not out of the boxes yet)! We moved in on Saturday in the POURING RAIN! I mean pouring...sheets of rain. The worst rain we have had here in over 9 months. And of course it had to come on the day we were moving. Just our luck!

We rented the biggest Uhaul they had and got started early. We have the smallest ward ever...but when it comes to helping those in need...they are there! We had about 15 people come and help move us. Even a couple of the wives came. They are such troopers! It took a total of 3 trips and 6 hours to get everything over to the new house. Not too bad..considering we own a lot of stuff. And according to the guys...very heavy furniture. Of course we took a break and had lunch..Pizza of course. It was yummy!

My mom left yesturday. She was a lot of help..especially with the kids. They already miss her. I have been trying to find time to unpack but it is really hard. Slowly but surely it will get done. Life is grand! We are very excited to finally be in our new home. It really does feel like home already. We love it!!!

Update...on my crazy life.

Today went better. Mom is here to help with the kids..I am so glad. I had my little painting party tonight and Brother Olson did the ceiling that I hated. So that is done. What a relief! The kitchen is primed and the laundry room ceiling is done. yeah...There is hope. I hope I get a lot done tomorrow. Only two more days until Moving Day...I am excited to see my furniture in my new home! Eric will be home in two days too...Yeah! Life is looking UP!!!!

My new discovery today...

I DON'T like to paint! Especially ceilings. My neck is killing me right now. Painting sounds fun..until you actually start doing it. You start by spending hours taping EVERYTHING off. It takes longer than the painting. Then once you finally get started...it takes longer than expected. Right now it is 12:28 am! I have paint all over my body. And the best thing...it was only the primer and I get to do it again tomorrow! And that is only once room. I still have two more to go before Saturday. YEAH! But I guess it is worth it when it is all done! At least it better be!!!

Tomorrow should be a lot better...I have enlisted my Young Women to help and my Mom will be here to help with the kids. Yeah...there is hope!

WE HAVE THE KEYS...Finally!!!!!!!

We have the house!!!! It is officially ours...I am so glad the loan part is over. Now we will be poor home owners...but at least we will have a great home that is ours and someday might make us a few pennies..I hope. Now the fun stuff begins...

This weeks TO DO LIST (While Eric is out of town for work)

1. Cover 3 rooms in plastic and tape off baseboards

2. Fill the holes with mud (never done it before..I hope it all looks ok)

3. Pick up my MOM at the airport & go to Home Depot for supplies. (Home Depot is taking all my money right now)

4. Prime the walls in the office and kitchen

5. Paint the laundry room walls yellow & ceiling white

(I am having a painting party with my Young Women on Wednesday. I can use any help I can get)

6. Paint the kitchen (right now it is orange...not good)

7. Paint the office walls sage green & ceiling white

8. Start to move over the small boxes, toys, food, fragile items.

9. Have fun on Halloween with the kids. Party at Brooklyns school and Trick or treating in the neighborhood. It will be fun...in the rain.

We have had awesome warm weather all month an then Halloween is going to rain. Go figure!

10. Pick up the Uhaul before Trick or Treating.

11. Celebrate because Eric will be HOME finally!!!!

12. Saturday MOVE into the new HOUSE!!! Yeah

13. Saturday and Monday CLEAN the rental house...no fun!

15. Spend hours on the phone calling & changing my address! Setting up the utilities, TV, Internet, etc...

And Continues...

I am tired, sore, and mentally exhausted. Our loan was suppose to close escrow today...well it isn't going to happen today. Sad! The funding went through but they received the money just barely too late to record today. So it will be Monday. Which wouldn't be too bad...except for Eric is going out of town all next week. Yeah...it sucks. I can't move myself. So we won't move into the house until next Saturday now. Maybe I will do some painting while we wait...the orange kitchen has to go. The office needs some TLC as well. It is horrible..scary paint. I will see how much time I have. Lately I feel like I don't have enough time for anything. The days just slip by me and before I know it...it is dinner/bed time.

I have spent the last 3 days at our new house... cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing showers and toilets, mopping, vacuuming more, killing bugs, vacuuming more, and vacuuming even more. My hands have sores on them from the vacuum. I never thought vacuuming would be so much work. The house hasn't been lived in for about a year...so it was dirty.

I discovered something new at the house....carpet beetle larvae. Yeah...Doesn't that sound exciting. They look like a worm/weavle. They are no fun. So know we have to get someone to come and spray the house for us before we move in. I am glad I noticed them now and not after we moved in...I don't like insects of any kind! Brooklyn tells me not kill bugs because it is killing God's World. She likes them too much. She brings bugs into the house to show me and I just can't handle it. I don't even like looking at them. One of these days she is going to pick up something bad...

This week has been long and exhausting...I can't wait for next week...Cleaning the house we are in now and moving and then unpacking. Fun stuff. The fun is never going to end.... Good news my mom is flying in on Wednesday to help!!! Yeah!
