The Firetruck Parade!

Our Fire station does an annual Christmas Parade with Santa. They drive around slowly and very loudly through our community. We could hear them coming from miles away. The kids were so excited!!!!!! We went outside just in time. The kids got candy canes and waved to Santa. Then the kids starting singing a Christmas Song and the ambulance actually stopped to listen to the kids. The kids love this Christmas Tradition!

After the parade fun...we then drove around and delivered our Christmas goodies and Cards around to our friends. The kids would sing Jingle Bells or Rudolf at each house. It was cute.

I am glad all those goodies are done and delivered! I officially don't have anything left to get ready for Christmas! Just Christmas Eve fun and dinner!

I can't believe Christmas is in 4 days!!!!

I love Taylor Swifts Holiday Collection CD!

All wrapped up!

Ho-Ho-Ho I can check off "wrapping" on my Christmas To-Do List. I wrapped the last presents today...except for one, of course! I think the kids are a little spoiled this year...most of the gifts have their name on them. And most of those are from their Grandma and Grandpa's. They are loved too much!!! Brooklyn and Easton are so excited!!!!

I can't believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away! I love this time of year. It goes by so fast... so Enjoy it!

Next on the list...Mail all the cards, Bake all the goodies, and deliver the goodies.

And of course, Eat lots of those goodies too!

And that is just the front..the presents are around the whole tree...

too many for only 2 kids!

I finally sat down this morning and designed our Christmas Card! It is done! And I must say..I am happy with it! No..I will not post it until a couple days before Christmas. Don't want to spoil the excitement of opening the envelope!

Can I say...I do miss this picture at this time of year!

I don't miss driving in the snow but I do miss the breath taking views of the snowy mountains and fresh powder.

And of course...playing in the snow...making snowman, snowball fights, and going sledding.

It has been very cold here in Cali this week...but no snow. Maybe someday!

Holiday Fireworks!!!

Saturday Night we had another fun, festive holiday evening! Hidden Valley sets off Holiday Fireworks (instead of 4th of July..fire danger). All bundled up we walked over with the Morgan's to the Greenview. The fireworks were really fun. We were only a football field away from where they were setting them off. It was fun to be right under them! The finale was nice and loud...but little short. We enjoyed watching them and having hot chocolate and cookies! Everyone enjoyed them except for Sway...she hates fireworks!!!! They freak her out!

We had a great weekend...filled with lots of holiday cheer!

Christmas Fun-Light Parade!

What a fun Christmas Weekend we had!

Our Friends, The Morgan's have a tradition of going to Kelseyville's Light Parade. This year, they invited us to join them. So we all bundled up and headed to Kelseyville which is about 1/2 hr away and is a really cute festive town. We made it just in time to enjoy the festivities. The light parade was so much fun! It lasted about 1/2 hour. There were some cool festive floats.

Brooklyn (and the kids joined) would yell very loudly "Merry Christmas" to each float and they always greeted them back. It was so funny. Next year, we need to put Brooklyn in the parade! There was a couple standing by us that thought it was so cute...they even thanked Brooklyn for getting them into the Christmas Spirit!

We then enjoyed some hot chocolate. Nothing like Hot Chocolate on a old winter night. It was so yummy! Easton wasn't sure about it...he said it was Hot! I think he expected just plain chocolate milk.

Kara and I then took the kids on the horse carriage ride. They loved it! Then Santa! The best part...we didn't have to wait...no line! Brooklyn told Santa she wanted "Anything you would like to bring me!" So cute!!! I can't remember what Easton asked for...I think a car or something boyish.

It was a wonderful evening! I love getting into the Christmas Spirit!!!! I think we will add the light parade to our family Christmas tradition! Thanks to the Morgan's for inviting us to join them!

What Dogs!

I thought I had two kids and a dog...but I guess I have 3 dogs and a friend! During Brooklyn's playdate, they decided to have cereal and act like DOGS. It was pretty funny. And of course they picked the right kind of cereal (Reeces)...it looked just like Sway's dog food. I think it is great for kids to play make believe. I have some funny kids!

I am sure it was Brooklyn's Idea...she loves loves barking like a dog...she has a special bark that calls Sway! And Sway always comes...it is funny! (She sounds like a Chihuahua)
