Redford Mini Reunion

Last weekend we drove to Utah (through the night) to spend the weekend with Eric's Family. His brother, Jon came home from his mission so we went to Utah to be ALL together. We had a mini reunion. We hung out at Mike's New house on Friday. Easton had soooo much fun playing football with Grandma Jo. They played for a couple of hours and he loved it. He loved being we Grandma Jo and even today he said..."I miss Grandma Jo." Jo is so fun with them. She just plays and plays. She brings them fun toys to play with too...bonus! Grandma knows how to win their hearts!!!!! Friday night we went to dinner at the Smokehouse in Orem. SOOO SOOO Good. Then we just came back and hung out. And the girls watched "17 again" which was cute!

Saturday was Cameron's Baptism and Jackson's Baby Blessing. What a special day for them. We then went the park and had lunch and the first set of Family Photos. I then went to visit my dear friends, The Williams in Spanish Fork. Eric went back to Ryans and the kids rode their pony. They live on a farm. Saturday Night we all got together for Pizza, Family photos again with Jon (Amy's Husband) in them this time, Early Christmas Present exchange, and Jon's Mission Slideshow.

Sunday we just relaxed and spent time with the family. Sunday night we went to my parents for dinner and hung out with my family.

Monday Easton had his dentist appointment to get 4 cavities filled. Poor Kid. They put him out for it so we were their for 3 hours. He slept all day while I got my nails done by my sister in law, Amanda. She is great!!!!! Eric worked that day doing interviews to hire another engineer at his work.

We then left Orem at 8:45 pm to drive home. The kids slept all night in the car and we arrived home at 7am. And Eric went straight to work to fix a few problems before he came home to take a nap. He drove the whole way...I didn't touch the wheel going or coming home.

Crazy Fast Trip! Seeing family makes the 11 hour drive in the car worth it! The kids did great in the car...because they slept 90% of the time.

End of the Summer Pool Party!

Since it is July here in Cali in September...our Pool extended its season another week...yeah for us. So we decided it would be fun to say Good Bye to the kids friends, Nicholas and Natalie with a pool party. We had a great turnout of kids. We had snacks and ice cream sundaes. They were delicious in the 100 degree weather. We had a great time. What a cute bunch of swimmers!

Brooklyn and Easton are really sad that swimming season is over. They love to swim!!!! They love to jump off the diving board! Brooklyn loves to touch the bottom in the deep end (9-10 feet). Easton is a good Little diver! This summer as been so much fun at the pool! I love having two great swimmers!
I love the summer time...boating, swimming, sprinklers, picnics, Lake Powell, ice cream, Popsicles, BBQ's...the list goes on and on. Already planning for next summer! Can't wait!

Soccer has begun....

Easton had his first game last Saturday. His team is called the "Alligators." He has 12 kids on his team. (Which if you ask me..I think it is too many...they don't get to play very much).
Easton did good for the time he was in. Can' t wait to see his progress throughout the season!
#3 Easton
What a guy!
DEFENSE!!!! (Kevin in the red...is the Bishop's Son)

Ready to fight...We had a talk about this one. It was with Kevin..so at least he knew the kid. I think it was more in fun.

Then Easton got paid back...he got his feelings hurt on this one.

Girls Night...for Julie!

One of my good friends, Julie is moving back to Southern California next week. We wanted to do something special for her to say Good Bye. So Kara, Maria and I did a surprise get together last night. Julie's husband was out of town...which made it a little harder to accomplish the "surprise" factor. So the plan was to invite Julie to a movie night with the kids to see "Clouds with a chance of meatballs." We met at Kara's for pizza. We fed the kids and then when it was time for the adults to eat we told Julie she wasn't eating pizza and we had something else planned for her. She didn't believe us and was so surprised. We then told her that our great husbands were taking all the kids to the movie without us mommies. (They took 7 kids under the age of 6...what great husbands!) Then....we left for our fun evening.
We started the evening off with Dinner at Ting's Thai Restaurant. We had a great time talking, eating and enjoying Julie's company! After dinner we went to my house and played "Dancing with the stars" dance dance revolution. Kara and Julie had never done it before...we had a great time! And we even burned off some of the calories from dinner. We had a yummy dessert that my friend gave me a recipe too. It tasted like eclairs! Yummy. We talked and had a great evening. The guys came home and said it went really well with all the kids. Just give them popcorn, candy and drinks and they were good!
We all had such a great time. We are sad Julie is leaving but happy for her and her new adventure in So Cali. Julie is such a fun, loving, & funny person...she will be missed! It will be hard without her!
No worries...us girls are already planning a mini vacation to go visit her and spend a weekend in LA! Can't wait!!!!

Little Boys+Firetrucks=JOY

This week is Safety week for Easton's Preschool. Today was FIRETRUCK day. It wasn't Easton's day to go in to school so I took him in just to see the Firetrucks. I am not sure what it is about Boys and Firetrucks but they love them. He loved trying on the hats, jumping on the firefighter, sitting in and on the truck... And of course he loved the prize he got when they left..a "Future Firefighter" badge.

Playing with Branches!

To change things up a bit..Kara, Julie and I took our kiddos to Kellseyville to go to County Park to play during our long Labor Day holiday weekend. The park is at the lake so they have a beach area and then a great playset for kids. Of Course my kids wanted to swim...but No Way was I going to let them in that yucky water. Clearlake is not Clear! It is full of seaweed and muck! And the smell...I won't even go there. It is very low and I guess that is why it has some problems.

So the kids played on the playset for awhile until the "landscapers" came...Then they "helped" them gather the branches they were cutting off the trees. They had so much fun putting them in one big pile.. Who knew a bunch of branches would keep 7 kids busy for such a big chunk of time.

I realized..Kids don't need toys...they just need the outdoors...lots of things to play with out there...Branches, Leaves, Sticks, bugs, water, etc...

Christmas will be easy this year!!!!

After the park we had lunch at a great Sandwich shop. It was a fun day with the kiddos. Of course they got a little crazy...but us Mommies sure enjoy getting together. It is more for us then the kids...shhh that is our little secret!

New Me!

So Eric always hints that he wants me to have blonde hair again...so I finally did it. It is a big change but I like it. Hopfully the maintenance won't be too bad...I just hate dark roots. It is a little blonder than I thought I wanted but Eric wanted blonde and he got BLONDE! I am still getting use to it when I look into the mirror...its a new me!

Before

After

Just realized I wore the same dress two Sundays in one month!
That is probably a fashion No, No

Brooklyn is always happy to be in a picture with me!

What a Mommy's Girl!
