6 months done...3 to go!

Officially 6 Months!
I can't believe I only have 3 months left until this little guy comes!
PS I have been asked...Where I found this Maternity Shirt...Well it's not maternity. I have had it for a couple of years. It was just one of those loose fitting tops that was in style. Awesome for pregnancy though! Bonus!!! So sorry I don't know where I got it! Now I just need to find a black skirt to wear with it...this one didn't zip all the way.

Today...

Today I was released as Young Women's President in my ward. I served 3 years with the Young Women and loved it. It was a rewarding calling and I learned so much from my wonderful young women and the leaders I served with. I will really miss them. It was bitter sweet...but I know it was time for the change.

With a release...comes a new calling...now I am a primary worker. I am going to teach the 10-12 kids. It should be fun! (I will have to come up with a great rewards program...any ideas?) It will be nice to have a calling that is "teaching only" and no weekly activities to attend. More time with my family is what I need!

1st day of school!

1st day of school-
August 17, 2010!
Brooklyn started 2nd Grade
with Ms. Diaz
and
Easton started Kindergarten
with Mrs. Bazzano!
They both were so excited to go to school! Brooklyn woke up all by herself and got ready. Easton couldn't wait and had the hardest time waiting until 11am to go to school!
...........
They both had great first days. Brooklyn was excited to take Easton on the school bus for the first time...so they asked me not to pick them at school on the first day. I was a little disappointed. I met them at the bus stop with a big hug and smile though! And then they came home to warm cookies and milk!
............
What a great start to their 2010-2011 year!

Easton lost a tooth!

Easton lost his 1st real/natural loose tooth on August 9th! The tooth fairy actually came to our house two nights in a row... first for Brooklyn and then for Easton...busy lady! Easton had his front two teeth pulled when he was 2 1/2 because of an infection and a chipped tooth. So the tooth fairy did visit him then...but this was the first loose tooth that he let Daddy pull out.
.....................
And he has another loose tooth that will come out very soon...which means his front teeth might come in this year....YEAH!!!! I am excited for him...he will be able to eat an apple or corn on the cob normal. He does a good job with his side teeth. I am sure he will love getting his front teeth back!
.....................
The tooth fairy left him a $2 bill...he thought it was the greatest!
Of course he spent it right away...
My kids are not savers!

Lake Powell Fun!

More Lake Powell Memories!
Beautiful Sunrise at 5:30am!
Eric took this one...I was still sleeping!

Easton loved his soda...he got one per day and loved it!
What a boy!

Helping Daddy drive the boat!

Papa riding the "Air Chair!"
All the guys had a great time learning how to use this fun new toy.
Eric doing a little rock climbing.
The kids wanted to try it...but mommy said no.
Mommies ruin all the fun!

Brooklyn and Easton LOVED the waterslide.
I couldn't even count the number of times they went off the slide...
they just kept going and going...like the energizer battery!

That's the end of our Lake Powell Memories for 2010!
Hopefully we can go next year! (Depends on the new baby!)
The kids LOVE Lake Powell just as much as their Mommy!

Lake Powell Family Pictures!

This year was the first year that all my siblings were at Lake Powell at the same time...so my mom took advantage of the opportunity to take another immediate family picture. I thought it was a nice idea...however, not fun for a girl who doesn't want to put makeup on or do her hair at Lake Powell. Oh well...I did it for my mom! The guys had it easy...they just put on clothes and somewhat comb their hair.
My Coombs Family!
Our family on top of the houseboat.

The large group photo...Most everyone was my family..with a few cousins and friends mixed in. We had 30 people on the boat. 15 adults, 15 kids! All my family was there except for my sister-in-law and 2 kids. (She was so missed...but I understood...taking a 6 week old to Lake Powell would be too hard)

Lake Powell Part 4...Sand Mountain!

Lake Powell Part 4!

Sand Mountain!

We parked the houseboat on this really cool sandy beach that had a big sand mountain. So after breakfast (before it got too hot) we took all the kiddos up the mountain. They just cruised up it. I was the last one up...I didn't want to over do it. It was easy though. The fun part was running down the sand...the kids loved it!
My Brother, Michael offered to take a picture of me...
So I had proof that I did it too!
Thanks Michael!

The view from Sand Mountain.

Lake Powell Part 3...Cliff Jumping!

Lake Powell Part 3!
Cliff Jumping!
Easton LOVED to cliff jump...he wanted to go every day! Daddy had fun jumping with his kids. These kids are sooo brave. Brooklyn wasn't afraid at all..she just jumped! Good thing Mommy had the pregnancy excuse...I'm not sure I am that brave!
Easton, Daddy and Brooklyn jumping all at once!
Easton and again Crazy Daddy! Good thing the kids don't try his tricks too!

Brooklyn and upside down daddy! Fun times!

Alexi and Easton..I love the looks on their faces!
Someone had to sacrifice and go on a "Lazy/Boring Ride" with Pregnant Mommy...Thanks Easton!

Easton, Kyle, and Brooklyn...Getting a little "Air"!

This was the next shot...Sorry I missed the kids...Brooklyn flew back and landed really hard in the water...She had a good cry...poor girl! Easton and Kyle survived the wave...Daddy knows how to create the big waves!
Everyone always loves tubing!!!!
Zander, Easton and Brooklyn!

Lake Powell Part 1...Wake Boarding!

Lake Powell Part 1

Wake Boarding Fun!

This was probably the highlight of our trip...The kids learning to wake board. Brooklyn and Easton were excited to learn. They both picked it up...we were very proud parents!

Easton!

He did it a couple of times and improved each time.

With more practice he will get even better!

Easton loves to knee board too!

Brooklyn!
She really got it! She loved wake boarding and she went every day.
She even survived a few bumps/waves.
She is a natural!

Crazy Eric!
What more can I say...I just pray he doesn't get hurt!
What ever makes guys happy...Eric had fun!

Utah Trip Day 2!

Saturday morning was spent Shopping for our Lake Powell Trip. We had to buy lots and lots of food! One big trip to Walmart and Costco did the trick!
After our shopping we took the kids to see "How to train a Dragon." It was a great movie...Eric loved it! Brittney and her boys met us at the theatre so we could at least see them while in Utah. Gotta love the dollar theatre..except for the fact that it was almost sold out at 2pm...Thanks Brittney for saving us seats!
Then Brittney and I headed over to a clothing store where they had $2 t-shirts and tanks. What a great deal..Thanks Dakota for sharing!

Then I realized I only had one hour to get ready for our family pictures..shower and all...oh no! I had to get ready very quickly. I had a hard time deciding what to wear...I wanted to look pregnant and not fat. So I decided on the tighter fitting shirt. I had to work with what I had in fall colors! Eric was a big help getting the kids ready. We got out the door right on time... I was proud of myself.

My mom has wanted a family picture for a long time...one problem though...the family hasn't been in the same spot to do it. Our last family picture was taken when I pregnant with Brooklyn so over 7 years ago. So this one weekend..EVERYONE was in Orem! It was amazing. Not sure when that will happen again. Here are a few pictures I took with my camera..we haven't gotten the photos from the photographer yet. I didn't get one with the big group...I will post that once I get it!

PS. How did I ever survive with all those boys!
