Top 10's of 2010

Eric's family has a tradition each year of writing down "Memories!" It can be any memory from this past year or in years past. Eric's parents then print them off for everyone to enjoy. It is so fun to read everyone's memories. This year I decided to do "Top 10's of 2010!" The kids had to write their own too...except for Cooper...he had help! It is a great family tradition!

New Years Eve!

New Years Eve Party!
This year we had a great time with our friends, The Morgan's! We got a great dinner, played games which included the Wii of course for the kids, Disney's Scene It, and then the adults played Ticket to Ride. I love that game! The kids made lots of noise with their blow horns and we went outside and did some sparklers to ring in the new year. (A little early with the kids). We toasted with sparking cider and the kids watched "Despicable Me." We had a great time with great friends!
Driving home after midnight...it started to snow! Yes...that is right...SNOW in Hidden Valley. Never seen that before!

Good Bye 2010...Hello 2011!!!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve!
We started the night off by going to the movies...(Cooper's first movie..which he slept through)...we saw "Megamind." It was a good movie. The kids enjoyed it. Then we got KFC for dinner and headed home. The kids couldn't wait to open their first gifts...so we started our Christmas Eve "Program." It was short and sweet. We sang "Away in a Manager", talked about the true meaning of Christmas, Read about it in the "Friend" and then opened presents. The kids opened their PJ pants and their cousin gifts. They were so excited. And then we opened a family gift...the game "Sorry." To end the night we played Sorry, had eggnog and put cookies out for Santa!

Easton with his gift from Alexi...he loves those little skateboards.

Brooklyn will her finished product from her gift from Zander. She loves crafts and art projects.

Big 29!!!

Birthday Girl!
Big 29!!!!
Eric spoiled me for my birthday. I woke up to breakfast in bed at 6am before he left for work. And he even let me open one of my presents...I felt like a lucky little girl. I opened a Gypsy for my cricut. I didn't even know what it was...but I was very impressed that Eric did research and found it.
.....
After work, Eric locked me in my room while he decorated the house. He planned a fun filled birthday party for me. It was great! The kids had noise blowers, poppy streamers, hats, rings and all. Eric cooked me Subway for dinner...delicious.
.....
We played three fun games...Bobbing for apples, Lay one on me, and hot grenade. They were so much fun. I have never bobbed for apples before and let me tell you...it is harder than it looks!
.....
Then it was present time...I got a really cute necklace and foot massager from Eric. So thoughtful...it meant a lot!
.....
Then of course, it was singing time... "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles on my cake .
.....
It was a great birthday party with my family!
I felt spoiled and loved!
Thanks to my wonderful husband who made it so special!!!!!!!!!

Santa...

Santa stopped by the Ward Christmas Party to say "Ho, Ho, Ho!" The primary kids welcomed Santa by singing "Santa Claus is coming to town." Santa even gave them a nice big bag of candy...lucky kids!

PS...Cooper was there...but Daddy was protective and wouldn't let him out of the car seat...Mommy was sad we didn't get a picture with Santa and Cooper.

Grandma and Grandpa Came to Town!

Grandma Jo and Grandpa Rod came to visit for the weekend. It was great to see them and have them meet Cooper. They were both excited to meet Cooper! Grandma was always the first to grab Cooper if he was fussy...so helpful! And of course she brought fun things to do with the kids. Brooklyn and Easton love to play with Grandma Jo!

We celebrated my birthday early...Brooklyn and Easton made mini cakes for everyone. They were delicious! Grandma and Grandpa gave me a cool popcorn popper!
And then our Annual Redford Tradition...Candy Trains. Grandma Jo brought all the supplies for the kids to make their trains. They had too much fun making the trains and eating the candy in the process. One of the best family traditions we look forward too each year!

Easton and Brooklyn had a great time coloring pictures for Grandma Jo.
And they even adventured out to "Christmas in Middletown" and saw Santa and walked around our small town.
Love Eric's fake smile!
Thanks for visiting Grandma and Grandpa...we miss you already.
See you in April!
