Our Family Vacation to LA!

Last weekend, Eric had to drive to LA for work to pick up some business stuff..so we decided to tag along and make it a mini family vacation. We realized that the last family vacation we had (that wasn't visiting family) was when Brooklyn was a year old and we went to St George, Utah. So we were due for a family vacation. We had a great time. The weather was nice, breezy and around 68 degrees. I prefer it warmer...but Eric loved it! Friday: After a day of traveling we started our vacation off right away by going to an IMAX 3D movie "Monsters vs Aliens." It was really cool! I enjoyed the affects. The kids loved it..they kept putting their hands in front of them to "touch" the objects. It was funny. The only down side...HEADACHE! Those 3D movies don't make you feel too good. Brooklyn even said she felt sick from it. But it was worth it!

Saturday We went to Six Flags Magic Mountain! (Marinda and the kids were Free because we have season tickets to our six flags...gotta love cheap entertainment!) We spent 4 1/2 hours there and had a fun time. Brooklyn loved going on the log wet rides...let me remind you it was only 68 degrees. But we did for her because we love her! We only did the kid rides because the BIG kid rides had 2 hour waits...crazy. Who would wait for 2 hours to go on a 1 minutes ride..not us! I like our six flags (Discovery Kingdom in Oakland) better...it has more kid rides and entertainment! But we still had a nice time at Magic Mtn.

VIDEOS from Six Flags

YES...those are my kids screaming down the slide! They Loved it!
They went on this ride at least 4 times!

Easton is on this ride with Eric. I didn't have the stomach to go on it. I was too scared. Easton was the smallest one on the ride and he loved it. I couldn't believe he wasn't crying! Way to go Easton!

After Six Flags the kids went swimming in the hotel pool. It was way to cold for me to swim..so I watched. The kids loved the hot tub! I have two little swimmers for sure!

Saturday night we went to Chili's for dinner and then to "Hannah Montana The Movie". It was really cute! I enjoyed it. Brooklyn sang the songs throughout the movie..it was cute! Easton fell asleep half way through...he still needs animation to keep his attention. Eric enjoyed it too...he liked that it had a plot. Cute movie!

Sunday: We went to Santa Monica to spend a couple of hours at the beach. I wanted to see the famous Santa Monica Pier that they show in so many movies. It was really nice. We even saw two dolphins swimming around. And a seal...the kids were so excited about that. Easton loved chasing the birds. Brooklyn loved playing in the sand. It was a nice morning. I can see how you can spend the whole day at the beach. We wish we had more time to rent bikes and ride down the beach. It was really pretty! We then headed home and arrived home at 10pm! It was a fast trip but we made the most of the time spent.

That all! I think I covered everything!
To wrap it up...we had fun and we need to do it more often!!!

Side note: Eric replace me! He used a GPS and fell in love with it! It is his new toy! I must admit..they are so convenient and worry free. We didn't have to worry about where the next exit was or if we were going to get lost.

Easton's Birthday Weekend & Easter Egg Hunt!

Easton had a great birthday weekend! On Friday he had a friends party. Lots of fun playing games like bingo and musical letters. And of course the awesome Pinata! Can't forget about that! Grandmommy was here to celebrate with Easton.
The party was great fun!
Happy 4th Birthday Easton!
Easter was on Easton Birthday this year. So we had Jimmy & his boys over to celebrate Easton birthday and have an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids loved the egg hunt. Easton opened his presents from us and Grandma Jo and Grandpa Rod. Daddy surprised Easton with a fourwheeler. Which Easton loves to ride! What a fun birthday weekend Easton had!

My Eastee!

Here a few picture of Easton throughout his first 4 years! He is a very active, fun, determined child! He is also a cuddle big. He hates sleeping in his bed alone. He Loves Cars, Trains, Balls, Sports (He has a great arm and kick), wrestling (especially with Brooklyn...she doesn't like it.), anything BOY! Easton is a true blue BOY! I love him to death!
